About Us

John McBride’s is the oldest of the current GAA clubs in Chicago, having been founded in 1956. We have been competitive at all grades, winning Chicago and North American titles across various levels and codes throughout the club’s history. Our most recent success came with the Chicago Intermediate Championship in 2025.

Now in our 70th year, this milestone represents an astounding achievement. The effort and commitment shown by club members over the decades to keep John McBride’s thriving cannot be underestimated. It is a credit to each and every member, past and present, and we sincerely thank you all for your contributions in so many ways. We look forward to many more successful years ahead.
